Willis Lenoir, Michigan City, departed this life on December 27, 2021 at Franciscan Health.
Funeral Services will be 11am, Friday, January 7, 2022 at New Covenant Outreach Ministries Church with Pastor Dewayne Hurt to give the eulogy. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 10am Friday, January 7, 2022 at the church until the time of service. FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN!!!!
Mr. Willis W. Lenoir was born July 28, 1968, in Michigan City, Indiana to the late RJ Lenoir and Lestine Williams-Lenoir.
Willis graduated from Elston High School in 1987. He attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Stanley Mason.
On August 10, 1996, he married Wanda Pearson in Michigan City, Indiana. Wanda preceded him in death on April 4, 2019.
He had several positions at varies jobs, Pepsi Cola, Holiday Inn, and Waterford Inn. Along with his brother Kenny, Willis was the proud owner of “A and Kenny’s Roofing”. Willis’s hobbies were riding and repairing bicycles.
Willis leaves to cherish his fond memories, one daughter, Shaquita (Philip Jackson) Lenoir ; three special sons, Marcus (Christie) Pearson, Leonard (Turqies) Scott and Darrian Aikens-Lenoir; special daughter, Geneyata “Heavy Head” Orzech; four sisters, Shirley (Willie) Clay of Chicago, Illinois, Christine Kent, Geraldine (David) Jackson, Sondra (Douglas) Lenoir-Baker all of Michigan City, Indiana; five brothers, Randy (Nancy) Lenoir, Robert Lenoir, Kenny (Mary) Lenoir, Jody Lenoir, and Roger Lenoir all of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren; eight bonus grandchildren; special friends, Mary Geigler and Theresa Pannell; close buddies, Anthony “Yang” Simmons, Anthony "Kemo" Steward, Charlie Patrick and Larry Birdsong; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin Calhoun, Jimmy Calhoun, Walter Lenoir and twin brother, Wallace Lenoir.
