Willie Henry Henderson

Willie Henry Henderson Sr., born in Shaw, Mississippi on February 3, 1949 to the late Nettie Clark and Eugene Henderson.

He was educated in the Ruleville public schools of Mississippi. Willie graduated from Ruleville Central High School.

Willie married, his high school sweetheart Ida B. Henderson. 

He loved and enjoyed fishing, LA Lakers Basketball team and spending time with his family. Willie retired in 1998 after 26 years of employment at Mid-West Steel.

Willie Henry Henderson Sr., a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, transitioned this life on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at his residence. He was preceded in death one sister, Dorothy Anderson, one brother, Robert Lee Henderson.

He leaves to mourn his memories, his wife, Ida B. Henderson; five sons, Anthony Henderson, Vinson (Josette) Henderson Sr, Willie Henderson Jr. all of Michigan City, Indiana; Keith (Sonia) Gailes of Nashville, Texas, Reggie (Cameron) Henderson of Phoenix, Arizona; one Daughter, Tricia Henderson of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Lewis Henderson of Griffith, Indiana, Charles Henderson of Memphis, Tennessee, Howard Clark of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Nanette Jefferson Memphis, Tennessee, Ruby (JD) Burns of Belleville, Illinois; thirteen Grandchildren; nine Great grandchildren; one special step-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be 10am Saturday, April 10, 2021 at New Covenant Outreach Ministries 419 Grant Avenue with Pastor Hurt to give the eulogy. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the church until the time of service.
