Terrence P. Tucker

Terrence Patrick Tucker was born on September 15, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley James Tucker and Patricia Ellen Forrest Tucker.  He grew up in Glenwood, Illinois where he attended school.  Terrence graduated from Bloom High School in Chicago Heights, IL in 1995.

Terrence became a father early in life.   With Wilma Houston he welcomed four children.  His first child, Tiara Symone, was born in 1995.  Followed by Tyra Latrice in 1998, son, Vyshon Amari in 1999 and Taylor Marie in 2002.  He also became a father with Tyesha Lawrence and welcomed his first son, Terrence, in 1999.

Throughout his life, Terrence worked hard to provide for his family.  He was employed at Ford Motor Company for a period of time and later worked in various   positions, including assistant manager at Family Dollar. His most recent employment was with Behr Paint until his health began to decline.

Terrence’s faith was an important part of his life.  He became a member of Covenant United Church in 2015 and later attended and was baptized at Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson.  He married his first wife, Tanisha in 2003. Later he married Japearlnetta Fair in 2016.

 Terrence enjoyed life and built lasting friendships wherever he went.  He will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication, and his warm spirit.  He developed a very debilitating, painful physical disease – congestive heart failure which he fought to overcome from 2022 when he was diagnosed until he passed away September 26, 2025.

His father Stanley James Tucker preceded him in death in 2021.  He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Patricia, friend Anthony, his beloved children, Tiara, Tyra, Terrence, Vyshon, Taylor, grandchildren Mariah, Maliah, Nova, Salaina, Myshani, uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. 

Celebration of Life will be 10:30am Friday, October 10, 2025, with the family hour at 10:00am,  at Victory Apostolic Church 20801 Matteson Avenue, Matteson, Illinois. Burial to follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
