Sheila Ann Mayhams

Ms. Sheila Ann Mayhams departed this life at 9:48am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Franciscan Health of Michigan City.

Funeral services will be noon, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Greater Powerhouse Church of God in Christ 428 North Woodland Avenue, Michigan City with Supt. Rodney Spencer to give the eulogy burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, July 15, 2022, Greater Powerhouse Church of God in Christ.

She received her formal education from Elston High School, and she later obtained her GED. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Sheila enjoyed praying, laughing, poetry, listening to Steve Miller “Joker” and Teddy Pendergrass “Love T.K.O.”, cooking, and catering to the needs of her children. She would help anyone that she came in contact with. Sheila loved her family dearly. Her hugs and kisses we be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Goldie Patterson, Walter (Marsaliyna) Mayhams and Brenda Dukes; father, Willie C. Patterson Sr.; siblings, Herbert Jackson, Julius Kent and Willie C. Patterson Jr., Patrick, Michael, Ricky, LeLe, Rose, Vatina, Eureka, Tania, Marion, Dorinda, and Latrice; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and associates.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor L. Mayhams; mother, Goldie Mae Jackson Briggs; brothers, Eddie, Obadiah and Bantu.
