Mr. Billy Lott

Mr. Billy Lott, a cherished soul known for his friendly demeanor and dedication to the safety of others, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, in Valparaiso, IN.  He was born on September 6, 1942, in Gary, IN, to the late Mr. Hickman and Mrs.Corrine Lott.

Billy's early years in Gary were filled with the warmth of community and the forging of lifelong friendships. His journey took a brave turn as he served his country with honor in the Airborne Military, a period that instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility and courage. After his military service, Billy continued to protect others through his work as a safety coordinator at ArcelorMittal, where his colleagues respected him for his expertise and commitment to their well-being.

Beyond his professional life, Billy was an avid outdoors-man. His love for fishing and hunting was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with nature and the serenity it offered. He was equally passionate about traveling, always eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. These interests allowed him to create a tapestry of memories that he cherished and often shared with those around him.

Those who knew Billy will remember him as the epitome of friendliness. His stories captivating, and his presence a source of comfort and joy.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, and six children and many grandchildren and family members.
