Michael W. Keiser, passed away peacefully at the age of 69, God welcomed him home on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
He was a cherished member of the Gary, Crown Point and Michigan City communities. Michael was born May 11, 1955, in Gary, Indiana, to Jim Keiser and Joan (Suntag) Keiser.
Michael's early years were spent in the town where he was born, surrounded by the love and guidance of his parents, Jim and Joan Keiser and only sister, Susan.
Michael graduated high school. He was deeply involved with St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown Point, Indiana, where he served as an usher in his younger years. His commitment to the church was not just a reflection of his faith but also a tribute to his family's generational ties to the congregation.
He is survived by his loving bestfriend, Vestina M. Keiser, who stood by his side in life's journey. His beloved granddaughter, Jackson Michele Keiser-Patterson (mother Stephanie N. Henley), Jessica A. Henley, and her children, Henley and Harper, and nephew, Brett Bayer.
Michael's parents, Jim and Joan Keiser; daughter Stephanie N. Henley; sister, Susan Bayer; and brother-in-law, Jim Bayer preceded him in death.
An avid sports enthusiast, Michael's enthusiasm for the Indy 500 and the Indianapolis Colts was infectious. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, a pastime that brought him great joy and excitement. His adoration for dogs was equally notable, as he found companionship and comfort in their loyal presence.
Michael W. Keiser will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
