Londell Long

Londell Long was born September 17, 1963, in Michigan City, IN to the late Henry Lee and Ethel Jane (Byrd) Long.

He attended Michigan City Area Schools including Harrison Elementary, Mullen Elementary and Elston High School. At an early age Londell accepted Christ.

Londell worked several jobs in Michigan City: Potawatomi Country Club, Pizza Hut and GNB. He enjoyed landscaping and painting houses, which he was very good at. He moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and resided there for over 20 years. While in Minnesota, Londell worked as a production worker for Absolute Quality.

Londell was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. “Come hunting season, you were sure to see Londell and his good friend, Rickey Olds running them dogs.”

Londell Long, 59, passed away on June 6, 2023, at 7:03am at HCMC Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; his siblings:

brother, Ronnie Long; twin brother and sister, Jack and Jill Long; niece, Krystol Long-Scates; great-nephew, London Long; cousin, Godfrey Sylvester Byrd and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his four daughters, Olivia Marie (Isaac) Pasha-Brown of Indianapolis, IN, Jasmine Walker and Precious Walker both of Michigan City, IN and Starlean Pasha

of South Bend, IN, two brothers, Melvin (Vickie) Long of Michigan City, IN, and Elmo Long of Mason City, IA, and one sister, Queenester Long of Mason City, IA; ten grandchildren, Azariah Jones, Xavier Walker, Leif Jones, Sir Levi Kye Jones, Liam Jones, Sa’Mira Miller all of Michigan City, IN, Ariel Brown and Aryelle Brown both of Indianapolis, IN, Harmoni Pasha, Lyric Garrett both of South Bend, IN; two childhood friends, Randy Bonds and Nelson Rogers both of Michigan City, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Service will be 1:00pm Friday, July 7, 2023 at Emmanuel Funeral Home (Trail Creek). The Family will fellowship at 4pm, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Gardena Park 800 Gardena Street, Michigan City, Indiana.
