Larry G. Collier was born February 5, 1968, in Michigan City, Indiana to Shed Collier and Willie Mae Robertson.
He attended Michigan City area schools, where he received his GED. Larry obtained a degree in Psychology.
Larry worked at several restaurants as a cook and manager. He enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, making people laugh and dancing.
Larry departed this life on October 12, 2021, at Franciscan Health of Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents and one special daughter, Arika Lynn Briggs.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving mother, Willie Mae Van, Michigan City, Indiana; sister, Julie Ferguson-Stokes (Russell Stokes); nephews, Tyron Ferguson, Jermaine Woods, Anthony and Austin Mitchell; sister, Eva Butler (Darren Stokes); nephews, Devonta Schaeffer, Jarrule Butler, Isaiah Butler, Demetrius Butler, nieces, KeAnna Butler and Natile’ya Van and one brother, James Van (Barbara Lenoir), niece Jerrica and nephew James Dee Williams; special friend Laurette Barfield; one special daughter, Chasity Nicole Jackson; and a host of great nieces, nephews and relatives.
Funeral services will be noon, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Robert Johnson to give the eulogy. Viewing will be 11am, Friday at the church until the time of service.
