Judith Wantuch, age 80, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2026, from natural causes. She was born on January 1, 1946, in Michigan City, Indiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, professional dedication, and a warm appreciation for the simple joys that made life meaningful.

Judith was born to the late Jay Smith and Marie McPherson in Michigan City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Leo G. Wantuch Jr. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always, including her two sons, Patrick Jay Wantuch and Leo G. Wantuch, both from Indiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patrick Caleb Wantuch and his wife Jordan, and Dr. Paton Wantuch, both of Japan, as well as her great-granddaughter, Gemma Wantuch, and great-grandson, Lucas Wantuch, both of Japan.

Judith pursued her education with determination and earned an associate degree in Computer Science. She carried that same spirit of commitment into her professional life, where she built a long and respected career as a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser. She served as a broker for 55 years in Indiana and Florida, earning the trust and respect of many through her knowledge, professionalism, and integrity. Judith retired in 2021 after a remarkable career that reflected her strong work ethic and her ability to adapt and succeed over many decades.

Beyond her career, Judith enjoyed a life filled with movement, travel, and the pleasure of new experiences. When she was young, she loved roller skating and ice skating. In her twenties, she enjoyed downhill skating, embracing the excitement and freedom of the sport. In her later years, she found great joy in traveling, and she treasured the opportunities to see new places and make lasting memories along the way. These interests reflected her lively spirit and her appreciation for life's adventures.

Judith will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family remained constant throughout her life. She was a woman of strength, independence, and grace, and she touched the lives of those around her with her presence and her example. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved the career she built, and the many memories she created over the years.

Though her passing leaves a deep void, those who knew Judith will remember her with affection and gratitude. Her life was one of perseverance, accomplishment, and love, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
