Jordan S. Rose, left this world too soon on July 12, 2025, at the age of 20. Born on March 24, 2005, in South Bend, Indiana, to proud parents Eric S. Rose Sr. and Cherie Rose (nee' Stubbs). His sudden passing in Michigan City, Indiana, has left a void that cannot be filled.
Jordan grew up alongside his siblings, Eric D. Rose, Diamond Rose, and Michael Troutman. He was the cherished grandson of Shella Brooks and was lovingly preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie Rose Jr. and Betty Jean Rose, and his maternal grandfather, Deacon William "Billy" McNeal. Jordan's life was further enriched by the companionship of his girlfriend, Taliyah Henderson, and the unwavering loyalty of his pets, dogs Storm and Dollar, and his lizard, Geico. His tortoise, BJ, who predeceased him, was another beloved pet who shared in Jordan's life.
A proud graduate of the class of 2023 from Michigan City High School.
Jordan's professional life was just beginning, yet he had already made his mark at the Michigan City Park and Recreation Department. His colleagues will remember him for his infectious enthusiasm, and his ability to bring a smile to anyone's face.
An ardent sports fan, Jordan's passion for basketball was unparalleled. He was an avid follower of Steph Curry and a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves. His love for the game extended beyond the screen, as he enjoyed playing basketball with friends and family. Jordan also found peace in fishing, where he appreciated the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. His fascination with Batman reflected his love for heroes and the timeless fiction battle between good and evil.
Jordan's life, though brief, was lived with an intensity and joy that inspired those around him. He approached every day with a positive spirit and a heart full of dreams. His absence will be deeply felt at family gatherings, where his laughter and stories once filled the room.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and cherished memories. Jordan will be profoundly missed by his parents, siblings, grandmother, girlfriend, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved pets.
Jordan S. Rose's journey on earth has ended, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his time here was a gift to us all.
