Dwight Halliburton Obituary

Dwight G. Halliburton was born July 5, 1962, in Gould, Arkansas to the union of Willie C. Halliburton Sr., and Martha L. (Dobbs) Halliburton.

Dwight was formally educated in the Benton Harbor Area Schools and was a proud graduate of the Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1980.

He worked at Bosch Manufacturer in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

He later moved to Kansas City, Kansas where he met and married Debra Greene.

Dwight went on to complete an Associate of Applied Science where he obtained his degree in HVAC.

Dwight enjoyed sports: basketball, and football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. He was an avid grill, if you rode by his house, you would find many barbeque grills outside of his home. He loved working and fixing on things.

He accepted Christ at an early age. Dwight attended Showers of Blessing COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Edward Halliburton.

Dwight G. Halliburton passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie C. Halliburton Sr. and Martha Halliburton; wife, Debra Green; four siblings, Marzell Wade, Martha Avery, Betty Rhone, and Willie C. Halliburton Jr.; one grandchild, Jayla Halliburton.

Left to cherish his memories are his five children, Dwight D. Halliburton, Jermaine G. Halliburton, Courtney C. Halliburton, Jalen Halliburton, and Malik Halliburton all of Benton Harbor, Michigan; siblings, Pastor Edward (LaTasha) Halliburton, and Murriel Brown both of Kansas City, Kansas, Cleo (Shirley) Halliburton, and Lucinda Hall, both of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Jeanette (Harry) Roscoe, DeSoto, Texas; close friend, Eddie “E-Dawg”; nineteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am EST, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Union Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church located 911 South Crystal Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022 with his brother Pastor Edward Halliburton to give the eulogy. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at 10am EST, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Union Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church.
