Clarence Willis Hood was born August 1, 1932, in Ebony, Arkansas, to his loving parents Susan and Moses Hood.
Clarence served in the United States Army from July 13, 1951, to April 1953.
In 1953, Clarence married Liza Catherine Thompson and to their union four children were born and one bonus child, Leslie Wolfe that he loved and reared as his very own. Liza Catherine Hood preceded him in death.
Clarence remarried Arlene D. Harris; he reared six children. Arlene “Dru” Hood passed away June 29, 2022.
Clarence later wed Jacqueline “Pottie” Nixon on December 18, 2009, with this marriage he was blessed with another daughter, Tyshona Hales. Jacqueline M. Nixon-Hood preceded him in death on February 7, 2015, in Michigan City, Indiana.
After 20 years Clarence retired from United Steel.
Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out with his friends, fishing, and someone said he likes to eat.
On January 25, 2025, Clarence Willis Hood made his transition from this side of Glory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Susan and Mose Hood; siblings, James (JB) Brown, and Mamie Davis, children, Willie Charles Coleman, Doris Marie Coleman, Victor Hood, Leslie Wolfe, and Cory Hood.
Forever cherishing his memories are his children, Paulette Blue of Brooklyn, NY, Jimmie Harris of Arkansas, Deborah (Marlon) Thomas of Florida, Anthony (Patricia) Hood of Michigan City IN. Pamela McKinnie of Los Angeles CA, Pamela Harris, Kathy Jo (Leslie) Thomas, Jeffrey Harris, Lisa Harris, Constance “Connie” Turner, Paula Edwards all of Michigan City, IN, Michael Ware of Atlanta, GA, Anita Ware of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Tyshona (Shawn) Murphy of Michigan City, IN. Clarence was blessed to have 52 Grandchildren, 36 Great grandchildren and 20 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of relatives and associates.
