Anthony Bryant Sr. Obituary

Mr. Anthony D. Bryant, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, partner, and friend, sadly left us on May 21, 2023, in Inglewood, California while resting in his sleep.

Anthony was born in East Chicago, IN on August 27, 1967, to Maxine L. Royster and Robert Lee Bryant. Anthony was known for his warm nature and the indelible impression he left on all who met him. Growing up in a close-knit family, Anthony quickly learned the importance of maintaining relationships and staying connected to loved ones. With an infectious smile and a heart of gold, it was easy for Anthony to make friends and create bonds with those he encountered. Those in his life admired his energetic spirit, which made him both friendly and interesting.

Anthony was a strong presence in the lives of his children, Anthony Bryant of New York, Antonio Johnson of Georgia, Diamond Bryant of Nevada, and Zhuri Bryant of Washington. As a father, he led by example, teaching them to always be there for one another and to cherish the time they had together. His grandchildren, Laila, Jalesia, Aaron Jr., and Zoe, affectionately called him Papa Grand, and his love for them was unwavering. He also leaves to cherish his good times to his siblings: Gwendolyn F. Hammond, Sherley A. Winters-Adams, Wendell J. Royster and Lyndell M. Royster.

Throughout his life, one of Anthony's greatest interest was being with his family. He enjoying the outdoors. This love of cowboy life led him to travel frequently and make friends across the country. Being able to explore new places led him to fulfill his adventurous soul and made the world a more interesting place for him.

Anthony's love for life was palpable, and he had a zest for experiencing new things. Anthony embodied this sentiment, leaving a lasting impression not through grand gestures, but through his genuine kindness, humor, and empathy. He was truly an experience, and his laughter and merriment will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Just as he was there for his family and friends, it is now his loved ones' turn to honor Anthony's memory and keep his spirit alive. As they remember the happy moments and the lessons learned from his time on earth, they will keep the legacy of Anthony Bryant alive and burning brightly. It is often said that the brightest stars burn out the fastest, and this was undoubtedly true for Anthony. Although his time here was too short, his impact was immense, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Lydia Royster; father, Robert Lee Bryant; sister, Wanda K. Royster; godfather, Winslow Hightower; Special grandma Mille Daniels.

Rest in peace, dear Anthony. Your memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who loved you.
